Dwr Anafon is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) set up to distribute the disposable profits from the Ynni Anafon Energy hydroelectric scheme, built above the village of Abergwyngregyn, Gwynedd.

The charity was set up in 2017, and has a board of trustees to allocate grants for a wide range of projects.  Initially, funds were only available for residents of the village of Abergwyngregyn and Crymlyn but since January 2020 residents of the neighbouring village of Llanfairfechan have also been able to apply for grants.

To apply for a grant, please read the Application guidelines (below) carefully and be sure to complete the relevant application form fully and attach the supporting documents – which MUST include two quotations and in the case of energy efficiency improvement grants an additional EPC / Energy survey must also be attached (we cannot consider any application without these documents).

Please note the correct grant application form you need to complete and read the supporting guidelines ahead of completing, there are three types:

‘Application Form for Individuals’

‘Application form for Groups’

‘Application form for Energy Savings Grant’

depending on the type of project you are seeking funds for.

Once completed, please scan /photograph and email to info@dwranafon.co.uk

(or you can post to Dŵr Anafon, Yr Hen Felin, Abergwyngregyn, Llanfairfechan, LL33 0LP – but allow 3 business days for delivery and processing).
